2008 Motobecane Fantom Team: An un-biased review Posted by admin on Friday, November 07 @ 14:05:52 EST (62 reads) Topic Reviews
| paul writes "At the beginnig of this year I decided to splurge and buy the most
expensive mountain bike I could possibly afford. My budget was $2000, a
lot of money for me. After quite a bit of research, I decided to buy
the 2008 Motobecane Fantom Team, a full suspension mountain bike with many bells
and whistles. The bike was listed at $1895 at the Bikes Direct, an
online bicycle distributor that also happens to own Motobecane
bicycles. This bike is almost identical to the 2009 Motobecane Fantom Team. "

as drivers to be at fault in the nearly 2,000 collisions that killed or
severely injured Bay Area bike riders in the past decade..." Some say that's a load of hooey... "

Market, Octavia and Assembly Bill 23 Posted by admin on Wednesday, January 30 @ 02:51:48 EST (62 reads) Topic Bicycle Safety
| | Anonymous writes " Assembly Bill 23 will place a camera at the dangerous Market
and Octavia intersection in hopes that cars will avoid making right turns
across the bike line onto Highway 101. Some think that this is simply putting a
band-aid on what is a gaping wound in flawed city planning. Others are
heralding the cameras as an important step toward making cyclists and
pedestrians safer.

IS our woman-on-bike logo sexist? Posted by admin on Saturday, January 26 @ 12:48:53 EST (118 reads) Topic General articles about bikes.
| Does our logo of a half naked woman riding a bicycle turn you off? Do you think this degrades women? Could it be that showing a female derriere rather than a rippling six-pack and pectoral muscles is showing some sort of gender bias?
The point was to show that bikes are indeed sexy, as many of you already know, but does our logo simply go too far? Or is it appropriate?

Shimano Nexus 7 Speed Hub. Model Number SG-7R46. Posted by admin on Monday, August 27 @ 12:39:53 EDT (4207 reads) Topic Reviews
| One has to be a real bike-geek to get excited about internally geared bicycle hubs. Those CAD drawings showing an exploded view of the planetary gear system are like porn to some. I had wanted to lace up a wheel for years using one of these hubs, but just never got around to it. Finally I decided to take the plunge and purchase the Shimano Nexus-7.
